Susan McCray, the woman who was Michael Landon’s casting director for his iconic shows. was asked: “Does the world really need another fragrance”?

“No,” she said with a smile. “But it definitely needs this one.”

Susan McCray was just 8 years old when she began experimenting with perfumes. Her mother, Francesca from whom Susan inherited her keen sense of style and appreciation of scents would smile about how her daughter would one day launch a fragrance line. That would come later … after her daughter’s successful Hollywood career. Susan launched the careers of some of the most famous actors like Jason Bateman, Christina Applegate, Paul Walker and Melissa Gilbert.

Susan cast Little House on the Prairie, and Highway to Heaven and movies for television. She also cast other audience favorites: Hawaii 5-0, The High Chaparral, Father Murphy and two hour specials. McCray is now getting back to a childhood dream: Producing a fabulous fragrance line – Her first Nightfall by Susan McCray and now her new perfume and lotion called Susan McCray by Susan McCray
